The Policy and Planning Sciences are an interdisciplinary academic field which investigates and analyzes complexly entangled social phenomena from various perspectives, and strives to design systems for strategically achieving solutions based on science and engineering. In the College of Policy and Planning Sciences, students can learn about investigation and analysis tools, and master presentation and discussion skills. Classes cover a wide range of fields including mathematics, economics, statistics, political science, psychology, and engineering. The college has three majors: Social and Economic Sciences for analyzing the mechanisms of society and the economy, Management Science and Engineering for scientifically managing companies and organizations, and Urban and Regional Planning for addressing problems relating to cities, architecture, and regional and neighborhood development.
